The project

The Peptide Lounge is a UK supplier of peptides and research compounds, sold strictly for laboratory research use. Its catalogue runs to 36 products across peptides, combinations and research compounds.

The client needed a premium store that presents every product clearly and keeps the research-use-only rules in view at every step, from the first visit to checkout, with a CMS their team can run without a developer.

Vebryx designed the store in Figma and built it from scratch on Next.js and Node.js with a PostgreSQL database: the storefront, a staff admin portal and a custom CMS made around the client's requirements.

The challenge

What stood in the way.

  1. 01

Strict rules on what can be said

Product wording had to stay clear of medical, dosing and human-use claims on every page, including anything staff add after launch.

  2. 02

    Proof for every batch

Buyers needed to match the batch number on a vial to its Certificate of Analysis, with the test date and expiry alongside.

  3. 03

    Checks before anyone buys

Visitors had to confirm their age and the research-use terms before entering the store and again at checkout, with a record kept each time.

Our solution

What we built.

A store that looks premium on the surface and is careful underneath.

  1. 01

    An entry acknowledgement

First-time visitors confirm they are 18 or over and accept the research-use terms before the store opens. Each acknowledgement is recorded with the version of the wording, and staff can export them.

  2. 02

A CMS that refuses claim wording

The custom CMS checks product text as it is saved and refuses claim language such as treatment, dosing or healing, naming the word that triggered it, so the catalogue stays within the rules as it grows.

  3. 03

    A searchable COA library

Every batch has its own record with its test date, expiry and certificate. Visitors search by the batch number on their vial label, then view or download the Certificate of Analysis.

  4. 04

A checkout built for the rules

Research-use declarations at checkout, prices recalculated on the server, and every order stored with the declarations and terms it was placed under. Bank transfer at launch, with a payment layer ready for an online provider.

Inside the product

A look at the platform.

01The home page: a dark, studio-lit design with the research-use position stated up front.
The shop: filters for all 36 products, peptides, combinations and research materials, a product search, and cards for GHK-Cu, Pinealon and MOTS-c with their strength, stock status, price and an Add to basket button
02The shop: 36 products in three categories, with search, and every card showing strength, availability and price.
